IEB's training division, IEB ASSET, offers our schools an extensive selection of professional development opportunities related to current educational trends in assessment. Apart from our ETDP SETA accredited Assessor and Moderator Courses, there is a range of workshops, all able to be customised in respect of duration from 3 hours to a full day and also tailored to suit specific phases.
ASSET's courses and workshops are presented by professionally qualified facilitators boasting expertise in the Foundation, Intermediate, Senior and Further Education phases, thereby ensuring that the content and context is directly applicable to the needs of participants.
ASSET's workshops comprise a unique flexible seven-strand structure. While each of the seven strands covers a specific focus area, the various strands are interdependent. Schools can therefore select and combine individual elements from each strand to build their own unique professional development offering to suit their own unique context.
In addition, two comprehensive Assessment Literacy Workshops deliver master classes in the application of the essential assessment principles. These are available regionally.
