The Independent Examinations Board (IEB) is seeking experienced professionals to join the Materials Production Department. We invite applications for the following positions:
1. Materials Production Editor – Afrikaans and English Languages
Location: Parktown, Johannesburg
Closing Date: 24 February 2025
Key Requirements:
Degree in Applied Linguistics or equivalent
Editing and proofreading qualifications
Minimum of 5 years as a Copy Editor and Proofreader
Proficiency in both English and Afrikaans
Key Responsibilities:
Editing and proofreading of examination question papers
Translation and editing of key documents from English to Afrikaans
Ensuring error-free, high-quality examination materials
2. Materials Production Editor – Sesotho Language Groups (Sesotho, Setswana, Sepedi)
Location: Parktown, Johannesburg
Closing Date: 24 February 2025
Key Requirements:
Degree in Applied Linguistics or equivalent
Editing and proofreading qualifications
Minimum of 5 years as a Copy Editor and Proofreader
Proficiency in English and at least one Sesotho Language Group
Key Responsibilities:
Editing and proofreading of examination question papers
Translation and editing of key documents from English to Sesotho Language Groups
Ensuring error-free, high-quality examination materials
